Tyler took the day off on Friday because his parents were coming in town to spend the weekend with us. They arrived in the morning, after driving part of the way the night before, and they all headed down into the city to meet me for lunch. After lunch it was back to the house for them and back to work for me. Tyler and his dad watched basketball while his mom went out to get her hair cut. I met them after work and we headed out to dinner at one of our favorite sushi restaurants. Our plan after dinner was to head down into the city to watch the FSU basketball game. We got in the car and started driving, but the rain storm had taken a turn for the worst. We were halfway there and could barely see the road in front of us. Cars were pulling over to wait it out and we decided it made more sense to turn around and settle in at home. I dozed in and out during the game and I do remember Diane asking me if we had taken a picture yet. I'm sure I mumbled that we hadn't and then closed my eyes again. After the disappointing game, we let Tess out and headed to bed. We were laying there with the lights out when it hit me...NO PICTURE! I swung my legs onto the floor and went to grab my camera. Tyler let me know I had made it with only minutes to spare.
We have been talking about an 11:59pm picture for a while, but the opportunity has never actually presented itself. Well, here it was...opportunity knocking! By the time I got my camera and checked my settings, the only other time I could have grabbed on my clock was 11:58. I figured we might as well go for the one we've been waiting for!
