Thirty Two Weeks Old

This was a great week! Tyler was home all week and weekend. :) Hayden and I met him and his coworkers out for lunch on Wednesday and Friday...such a treat! It was rainy and cool on Friday so little H rocked his pajamas to lunch - I, for one, was jealous. And I couldn't resist getting a picture of him sacked out in his car seat when we got home. So sweet and bundled.

Then on Friday night, after Hayden went to bed, Tyler and I built a fort in the bonus room. It was fully equipped...twinkle lights and all. :) We watched a movie, drank wine and had ice cream. I love my husband because he makes things like this happen after I casually mention wanting to make a fort. He helped me carry carried all of our couch cushions upstairs and constructed this thing, only to take it down first thing Saturday morning so we would have a place to sit. Now that's true love. <3

On Saturday we headed over to Justin and Allison's to watch some college football. FSU came through with a win and I'm fairly certain it's because they had some help from our Super Seminole. :)

We had a lazy Sunday and got ready for Halloween on Monday. GiGi and Pop came into town with Sophie to celebrate little guys first Halloween. We got him dressed and ready for pictures and trick or treating. He wasn't fully in the mood....

After pictures, we were off to conquer the cul de sac. He was a trooper...and made for a very cute monster. :)

On Tuesday morning I made one last attempt at smiley costume pictures and put the poor little guy back into his getup. We got a couple of great ones and he didn't seem much worse for wear.

I know I won't get too many Halloweens where I get to pick his costume...so all in all, I think this was an incredibly successful and adorable first.

Thirty One Weeks Old

On Thursday, my mom drove to Charlotte to pick up Hayden for the weekend. I'm not sure when we decided that the first time I left Hayden for the night, we should jump right into 4 nights...but that's what we did! And while I missed my little guy SO MUCH, I found that I didn't worry about him for a single second. I already knew that I am beyond lucky to have my parents so close that they get to spend so much time with H. But it all was brought even more to the light since my mom knows his routine, she can read his needs and he absolutely adores her....we are INCREDIBLY lucky to have her!

So off Hayden went to spend the weekend in Greensboro with GiGi and Pop. What's a mom to do?! My flight for Tampa was leaving early the next morning so I took advantage of a night on my own (Tyler was already on his way to the race) and strolled through the mall then caught a movie and dinner with Erica. It was lovely. :)

Friday morning I was off to Florida. After realizing how nice it is to fly with my frequent flyer hubby (upgrades and zone 1) and my little guy (early boarding), I sadly boarded in Zone 5 (I didn't even know the zones went that high!!!) and checked my bag at the gate because there was no room for it on the plane. BUT I MADE IT TO TAMPA! And while I missed both of my guys and our sweet pup, I enjoyed every minute of a weekend away with my best girlfriends. We stayed out late, slept in every morning and drank wine at every meal. The weather was beautiful and the company was fabulous. It was a wonderful vacation! :)

This is my favorite picture from GiGi and Pop's house...I'm pretty sure he is mid scream!

And here is our little guy sitting up and playing in the tub.

After the serious amount of snuggles and hugs H was smothered with on Monday, we made an attempt at some pictures to celebrate his 7th month. He was SO good to me...I just love what we came away with. :)

We enjoyed having Tyler home ALL WEEK and spent as much time as possible outside and on the deck. It is such a beautiful time of year so we are soaking up this perfectly crisp fall air!

Thirty Weeks Old

DISCLAIMER: There are an obnoxious amount of pictures in this post of Hayden with pumpkins...BUT, I love them all and could not choose so please just bare with me. :)

Hayden and I drove back from the beach on Thursday morning and welcomed Tyler's parents into town that night. We grabbed lunch on Friday with Tyler and were excited to have Amy and Laz join us on Friday night. Saturday was Race Day so everyone headed to the track (only after a little wedding dress shopping for Aunt Amy...FUN!). H and I held down the fort and were happy to hear about all the fun that was had!!

Then on Sunday morning we went out to the pumpkin patch. Hayden had an early morning, so by the time we got everyone out the door he was already thinking about working on his first nap. We didn't get many smiles, but he rallied for the pumpkins. And who needs smiles when you have those great cheeks?!

We started by plopping him into a pile of little pumpkins...

...then moved him to sit up with the big boys!

His feet are almost always in footies...and he LOVES feet...so he was happy to see his in the hay. :)

We really tried for some shots with Mom and Dad.

Made sure to get one with KiKi and Poppy!

Then got greedy and tried for a few more with just H...

...and then THIS happened. At which point we probably should have called it a day and gone home. But instead we pushed for just a couple in his Halloween costume.

Now, I've been envisioning a smiling cheeky monster for months now. But this makes me smile even bigger!! Poor little guy...

And then the cheeks started to peek through...

The hat is just a little big, but we will have it all fixed by Halloween.

Sweet kisses for a sleepy monster. :)

And two more quick shots with Aunt Amy and KiKi and Poppy before crashing in his car seat and taking a long nap when we got home. Totally worth the trip!!

After his nap we said goodbye to Tyler's parents and headed out to Taco Mac for some football. We sampled some beer and talked about plans for Amy and Laz's wedding. They asked our whole family to be a part of the wedding party and we are so honored to stand next to them. We can't wait for November!!

We unwound from the weekend and got ready for another jam packed week and weekend! Tyler headed to Nashville for work on Tuesday and was going straight to Talladega for the race on Thursday. My mom came to pick up Hayden on Thursday afternoon, because on Friday morning I was flying to Tampa for a weekend with my girlfriends! I enjoyed a stroll through the mall on Thursday night and dinner and a movie with Erica....oh it's the little things. :)

Twenty Nine Weeks Old

It's a good thing the previous week and weekend were so quiet...because we were gearing up for 3 VERY busy weeks! Tyler left for the race in Kansas and an event in Joplin on Thursday, so Hayden, Tess and I drove into Greensboro for a long weekend. My whole family was coming into town for Yom Kippur...but we snuck in some extra time with Papa before the weekend got into full swing. :)

GiGi loves purple...and Hayden doesn't mind a purple blanket as long as it's his FAVORITE BLANKET!

Little guy's favorite place to be all weekend? On the rug with the dogs!

Sophie quickly realized that the attention of everyone in the room follows Hayden...so she did too! Pretty smart to let the baby pull your whiskers and tug your ears just to get a "Good Girl Sophie" from everyone. :)

Hayden hung out in the yard with Pop a lot. Maybe he will inherit a green thumb!!

We watched the Noles on Saturday and snapped pictures to send to Tyler. Then everyone came over for dinner on Saturday night...one of my favorite meals of the year!!

On Sunday we drove back home to drop Tess off before heading out to the beach early Monday morning. We got quick hugs and kisses from Tyler before we were on our way again. My mom, Hayden and I got in on Monday morning and looked forward to Maggie and Mary Ellen arriving the next day. We enjoyed catching up over nibbles and wine and were lucky enough to get one pretty day to spend outside.

To end our trip, we enjoyed an always needed dinner at Bimini's.
