A few months ago Tyler met his new little brother through the Big Brother/Big Sister program. Ethan is 8 years old and full of energy and excitement. So far Tyler and Ethan have gone to a minor league baseball game, played games at Dave and Busters, gone to the movies and most recently they had great seats to the Carolina Panthers pre-season game.
Tonight, I got to meet Ethan for the first time. Tyler picked him up after work so he could come hang out at our house. The boys played video games together and I think Ethan definitely enjoyed Tyler's bonus room. Then we all had dinner together, hot dogs and waffle fries, and then everyone played outside. Ethan loved throwing the football with Tyler and I even proved to him that girls CAN throw and catch too :)
As soon as Ethan walked in the house, he immediately picked up Tess' red ball and asked if he could play with her outside. We all went out to the yard and he put the ball up to his eye...my mind of course went straight to project 365. So, I asked him if he would re-create it for me and we ended up with a little red ball photo shoot. Here is the photo of the day.
After all the things they have done together, I was finally able to get a great picture of Tyler and Ethan.
One of my favorite pictures of the night is this one of Ethan and Tess. They both had so much fun together playing with that red ball!

ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet and beautiful. It made me cry. And I like the blue, orange, and white striped shirt. That kid has good taste. I'm going to get him a "V Sabres" logo to sew on it!
