Surreal Sunshine 29/365

While Tyler spent the day enjoying the snow in Billings, I drove to work this morning in the rain. I had to run an errand at lunch and after I discovered how beautiful the weather had turned outside, I couldn't help but fall in love with the rest of the day! The afternoon flew by and I headed home to meet Leah for my Mary Kay makeover. I had a little time to kill when I got home, so I stepped outside and walked down our street to take advantage of the beautiful light. I have been lusting after these plants in our neighbor's front yard and today I decided to shoot them in the gorgeous sun light.

Finally Fall 28/365

While Tyler had an extremely long trip to Billings yesterday (many hours spent stuck in the Denver airport), I spent some time in search of a good "fall weather welcome" shot. It finally feels like fall in NC and I LOVE sweater and scarf season! We have had several rainy days lately, but yesterday afternoon cleared up and we were left with that wonderful crisp coolness that can only be more perfect when paired with a beaming sunshine. I ran a few errands and took some shots out and about, but found that my favorite was of a tree in our front yard. Some leaves are starting to fall from the branches and cover the ground while others are just beginning to turn amazing shades of gold and red. I love the way this turned out with the dark branches in strong contrast to the bright white overcast sky.

Spinning Circles 27/365

Well, while this daily picture taking is definitely challenging (and it's only one month in-AHH), it is the daily blog posting that has been getting really tough. So here is Monday's picture and blog post.
Tyler was getting ready to embark on another business trip this week, so he offered to take me to see the movie Fame. :) He is a wonderful husband because this movie is never something I would expect him to see with me. But we snuck our Chick-Fil-A dinner into the theater and he was a trooper for sharing Sour Patch Watermelons (my favorite movie snack!) with me as I smiled for 107 minutes. We got home and he snapped some pictures around the house. The one we chose is of a sculpture we received as a wedding gift.

Daddy's Little Girl 26/365

We woke up early on Sunday morning and hurried back home to Huntersville for Lincoln's "welcome home" brunch with family and friends. It was great to see her at home and everyone seems to be feeling great! We really enjoyed spending the morning with our friends and several smiling grandparents. After that, we went home to enjoy the rest of our Sunday. We caught up on shows and things around the house and then Tyler picked up Ethan to spend the afternoon and have dinner with us. He gave my ribs two thumbs up and had fun playing the Wii with Tyler. He always hates to leave and we always enjoy having him!
I captured the sweet father/daughter moment below and figured it was a great shot for the day. Now that we are finally caught up on blog posting from the past 4 days, I am hoping to be better about it this week :) We appreciate our loyal followers and hope you are enjoying this as much as we really are! Thank you for all of your support!

Light the Night 25/365

We got up on Saturday morning and had a great breakfast! Then I got ready for my jewelry party while Tyler got ready for gameday. My mom and her friend hosted a party for me and it was definitely a success for all of us :) While we were doing that, Tyler headed out to watch the FSU game with friends. It was a long day for both of us but unfortunately mine was the only one with a positive result. It has been a rough couple of weeks for the Seminoles, but we are hoping they can start pulling it together. We went out for a late dinner with my mom to a new Thai restaurant in town and really liked it! The decor was fabulous, very chic and modern, and the food was great too! We had some Thai and some sushi and are already looking forward to going back to try more! We loved the feel of the restaurant so it was an obvious choice for our photo.

Nothing Like Neon 24/365

We worked on Friday and then headed to Greensboro together for the weekend. Tess was excited to visit Sophie again and Tyler and I were looking forward to spending time with my mom and seeing some of our friends there. We got in, had dinner, and then headed out to a wine bar. Neither of us had been before but we had a great time at our big table filled with old and new friends. The bar was small, but a great place to hang out and catch up. I loved the bottle candles over the bar and although they haven't quite figured out the best way to light them (candles drip on customers at the bar and batteries burn out very quickly), I enjoyed shooting them and playing with the color saturation.

Fingertips 23/365

Well, we are less than a month into this project, and we took our first "we need to shoot SOMETHING because it is 11:35pm" picture on Thursday night. I had stopped in at the hospital to hang out with Andrea and Jeremy and sweet Lincoln, and by the time I got home and we had dinner and were in the middle of laundry, pictures had definitely been put in the back of our minds. So, at 11:30 as we were getting ready for bed, we snapped piles of laundry, tess and even the clock. We decided on this picture of Tyler's hand....I guess they can't all be masterpieces :)
